Recommended hardware for DooxSwitch server

The main principle is as powerful as possible.

For 1 server solution we recommend:

  • CPU Quad Xeon/Intel Core i5 or higher
  • at least 4 Gb RAM - More recommended
  • as fast HDD as possible, RAID Type 1 recommended, SDD (Solid State Drives recommended), space > 50 Gb is recommended, all space should be assigned to / partition.
  • Centos 6 + as OS (x86_64 recommended)

Memo! Such server should handle up to 500 calls without problems. Calls without reencoding (also known as transcoding).

Highest results so far was: 1750 calls per seconds (cps) up to 13000 concurrent calls done on a intel xeon with dual six core and hyperthreading (= 24 cores) and 12 GB ram

This is the most popular solution because it is fully redundant , most stable and affordable.
Second server replicates the main server and automaticly replaces virtual IP interface upon main server downtime. Both servers should be on the same network.

Four servers redundant high performance solution ,This implementation is used for high volume calls, separate server is dedicated to database which minimizes load on switch servers. GUI is on separate server with it's own DB connected to main DB server over MySQL Replication.

Multiple Switch servers, high performance system with SIP balancer and DB Replication

Multiple Asterisk servers, high performance system with SIP balancer and DB Replication ,This implementation is used for high volume calls with load balancing and maximum redundancy, If one of Asterisk servers fails, SIP balancer routes calls via remained Asterisk servers, separate server is dedicated to database which minimizes load on switch servers. GUI is on separate server with it's own DB connected to main DB server over MySQL Replication.
